On Tuesday I went on an awesome evening ride to the Cuesta Ridge behind Cal Poly campus. I took this photo near the top of “Shooters” trail. The fog was rolling in from the ocean and you can catch glimpses of 4 of the 7 sisters (volcanic peaks) poking through.

The trails here are top notch, with loose rocks that will shred your sidewalls. I just installed some new WTB Weirwolf 2.5’s that I wanted to test out. I haven’t run high volume tires like this before and was extremely surprised by their traction and how much they helped absorb some hard hits! I tested them out on a 10 minute downhill segment that I always give my all. I managed to shave 30 seconds off my time!  I’d say that is a big improvement, thanks to the extra traction!
