Hello all, so it has been way too long since my last post! I have been so busy with some very exciting things that have taken place lately! I will make this short, but I’ll list them out in order of how they all occurred. Winding down my last quarter of college, job searching, got hired at STUDIOS Architecture, then, house hunting in San Francisco, graduated, had a huge celebration, GOT ENGAGED to my wonderful girlfriend of 5 years, took third place at SoNoMas, moved to San Francisco and, finally, started my first day of work on Monday! Man, now that is a list that’ll keep you busy!

Here is a picture of Maddie and I at graduation! What a perfect shot. Pencil in hand, the Architecture sign in the background and two big smiles! Graduated Summa Cum Laude baby!!! Yeaaa!!!!

graduation

These past few months have been amazing though and have felt like they couldn’t be any better! Actually, it really couldn’t be any better, I am one lucky guy!! For Maddie’s and my graduation party we had an epic lobster feed with all of her family and my family there. About 45 people, 55 lobsters, a live band and a keg of tasty Topless Blonde from Central Coast Brewing Company!

The next few pictures show the fun times I have been having, including SoNoMas podium with Levi Leipheimer and Menso De Jong! It was a great race and I managed to pull off the third spot!

After the race I had to cool off under the nifty faucets bike monkey brought along to the venue!

I also raced the Sonoma Ricochet race last weekend, but flatted in the first lap. Darn, I was going good too with Levi right ahead of me and a good gap already forming. After fixing my flat I actually flatted again with the tube. Here is the picture my uncle took of me pre and post flat. I had to run the mile or so back to the truck to fix my second flat, dang…

Mikes Bikes Race at Lake Sonoma.

After the second flat fix I did one good hotlap. The highlight of the day was that Levi invited me to go on a ride with him after the race! 25 miles of post race riding topped off the day and made me forget about the bummer flat tire.

This last picture is one that my uncle also snapped during graduation. It captures our lifestyle of San Luis Obispo in a nutshell. Awesome little house, Bikes hung neatly, Medals as display pieces, My Finnish heritage, and my Beautiful Girlfriend Maddie. I love this photo!
